Samsung’s 6G White Paper; The Vision Towards Next-Generation Communication Technology!
Samsung's mission for 6G is to bring every corner of life into the ‘next hyper-connected experience’.

The tech giant Samsung has released a white paper on July 14, entitled "The Next Hyper-Connected Experience for all," depicting the company's vision for the next-generation communication system, namely 6G. The paper contains numerous 6G-related aspects including technical and societal megatrends, new services, requirements, candidate technologies, and expected standardization timelines.
In the paper, Samsung plans to offer hyper-connectivity using 6G mobile technology, which will have a total data transfer rate of 1,000 Gbps (gigabits per second) and less than 100ms air latency, roughly 50 times faster and one-tenth the 5G latency.

6G's technical criteria include addressing problems resulting from the limited computation capacity of mobile devices, as well as introducing AI right from the initial step of technology development, and encouraging new network entities to operate flexibly and efficiently. The privacy requirement also addresses the concerns of security and privacy resulting from the extensive use of user data and AI technologies as well.
Samsung's mission for 6G is to bring every corner of life into the ‘next hyper-connected experience’.
Samsung Research, the advanced R&D hub within Samsung Electronics' SET Business, established its Advanced Communications Research Center in May of last year to accelerate research for 6G. Samsung predicts that the completion of the 6G standard and its earliest launch date could take place as early as 2028, although mass commercialization might take place around 2030.
The prime beneficiaries of 6G will be both humans and machines, and 6G will be characterized by the provision of advanced services such as truly immersive extended reality (XR), high fidelity mobile hologram and digital replica.
Candidate technologies under the 6G umbrellas could include the use of the Terahertz (THz) frequency band, new antenna technologies to enhance the coverage of high-frequency band signals, advanced duplex technologies, network topology evolution, spectrum sharing to increase frequency efficiency levels and the use of AI in wireless communications. Samsung has also proposed many developments from upgrading existing technology to developing new solutions to fulfil the vision of 6G, all while keeping AI at its core.
In the paper, Samsung envisions the possibility to detect or predict anomalies in network operation with end-to-end AI and they also suggest corrective actions as well.
